« on: October 31, 2010, 11:02:06 PM »
We visited the Pleasure Beach today for a few hours, it was not very busy and we had a very good time.. 8)

All the rides were running very well, and some of the staff got into the Halloween theme.
I am still to post my report from Alton Towers the previous week, I wanted to post the Pleasure Beach Halloween report first, but BPB is less corporate and in a way cute.. 8)

Getting into the spirit of things.. 8)

First Ride the Ghost Train.. :P :P :P :P

Lots of staff in costume..

We did the Monorail, and had a lovely chat with Thomas he is a credit to the park.. 8)

The Pepsi Max Big One sequential..

And its new train..

The Tetley Tea Cups are back.. 8)

The Bling..

I was not sure if this guys hair was for Halloween or just his own style...it looked burnt.. :o

New Toilets.. 8)

The B&Q fountain has been removed..

The Fruit Shoot..

Thank you for reading..

Great report.
Have to say I am not to impressed with the halloween Fright nights.
Some great exclusives there including some nice photos of the new teacups an a photo of PMBOs new train which has not been seen on any other site  8)

You Must have a great zoom on your camera to get some great close up shots of the big one.

Applause given. :)

Thanks John, I used my heavy zoom for the big one pics, the Pleasure Beach kept its Halloween event low budget but it was ok..

I think people just want to enjoy the rides..

Another set of enjoyable photos Peter. Kudos for getting that one of the new Big One train too.

As somebody who really cant stand the whole Halloween thing (except the original movie of course), I'm glad to see that Pleasure Beach aren't going too overboard in marking it. For me (and many others that I know) it's just some daft American thing that's made it's way over here and is an excuse for lots of shops and other places to make more money from mug punters.

Infact having some big Halloween "event" would probably be enough to put me off going to a park !

I'm surprised Pleasure Beach have gone with a sign saying "Loos" on their new toilets. Given the sort of clientele Amanda seems to want to attract to the park these days, such a term seems a bit downmarket. I'd have thought "The Lavvy" was much more appropriate ;)

Some great shots there, Peter. Applause given.

Looking at some of them, PB really seems to have changed since we were last there 2 years ago!

Yes Loo's did seem a bit odd, but I have to say that they were very clean and smelt lovely and fresh..
Although I dont want you guys to think that I go round sniffing bogs.. :D

PMSL, we've got a new name for Peter...Bog Sniffer !

I think the "Loos" name is quite funky to be honest. Toilets themselves look very nice too - as toilets go - although I'm sure once the chav brigade start using them half cut their sheen will quickly vanish.

Another hats off to the Park for them though.

Love the report and photos, Peter. I really like the shade of blue on the new PMBO train. Very nice indeed...
