Blackpool Pleasure Beach..26/06/11
« on: June 27, 2011, 09:19:55 AM »
Being childless for the afternoon as they wanted to go to the new skating/cycling track, Louise and I ventured to the Pleasure Beach..

I briefly mentioned the skate/cycling park, this will feature in another report in the future.. :tongue_smilie:

So we arrived at a very busy sun drenched Pleasure Beach, it was like going back to the old days as it was very busy.. :thumbup1:

I mentioned that it was busy but the ques for the rides were managed well.. :thumbup1:

I am being honest, I dont like the fast pass system, for those that are not aware the Pleasure Beach has a new system in place where you can purchase a device for the day and when your chosen ride becomes available your buzzed..

Dont get me wrong on paper its great, but I watched a few families/friends   split up yesterday on some rides..

Not sure how the system operates at Alton Towers but I dont think that they just let 10 people who turn up in the fast pass que to just get on..as this was the case on some rides yesterday.. ;)

I also found a lot of people without wristbands enjoying the catering around the park, this is great to see.. :thumbup1:

Tut Tut.. :w00t:

People enjoyed the fountains in the Summer sun.. :tongue_smilie:

Busy for a Sunday.. :tongue_smilie:

We just love this place.. :thumbup1:

Looks a few there Peter, but looking at the bridge over the old Tom Sawyer ride, I've seen that packed many a time.

Maybe busy since they introduced the charges, but not busy as we used to know it.

Great Report and Pictures, Peter  :)

That is busy for a Sunday, it is normally a quiet day for the park, must show you what Nickelodeon Land is doing for the park  :thumbup1:

Looks like you had a good time in BPB, Peter  8)

Brilliant report & photos.

How much is a fast track pass? (I always thought that PBB would not go down that road, obviously not )

i was just about to ask peter the same question but found this:

http://www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/Speedy-Pass.php

not sure if i'll try it tbh, what i'll probably do is see how busy the park/queues are on the day and take it from there.

Not sure Kevin, but will find out..

I was going to do a feature on it, but it was a bit awkward as the Pleasure Beach can be funny about photographs..
