Blackpool on TV and Radio
« on: November 02, 2011, 08:15:02 PM »
Blackpool appears to crop up on various shows so I thought it might be a good idea to create a topic where I'll try and put upcoming shows with a connection to Blackpool (and possible surrounding area). I'm doing this from my online TV guide, for my setup (Sky), so some channels will not be available to Virgin/freeview users

I'll update this thread as and when I spot shows.

These are from the TV Guide I use, but obviously sometimes the schedule changes so always check first

Russ, this is an absolutely brilliant idea. Thanks for taking the time to put it together.

I never realised that Blackpool actually featured in so many programmes!

There is definitely some stuff there I will be taping to catch glimpses of my favourite resort including 4 in a bed; Reel history of Britain; Ade in Britain and Playground spectacular.

But top of the list will be Salvage Hunters on 21st November at 9pm, which appears to be at the illuminations depot  :thumbup1:

I am going to have to write these down and then Sky+ them as and when they appear.

I really must sort out a 'My Sky' account for this sort of stuff.

I think Kevin means the Salvage Hunters programme, not Salvage Squad.

I haven't got Salvage Squad showing on my planner either (checked again today). The Salvage Hunters prog is the one featuring the illuminations depot (I suspect it will be the old one at Rigby Road though), I know Kevin wants to see that as we believe they are featuring the Local Heads section of lights and Kevin's wife was actually one of those drawn out to feature in the section

Just to update a little on this, the Salvage Hunters programme was actually filmed earlier this year and so was from the new Lightworks depot on Amy Johnson Way.

It is repeated this Saturday (Nov 26th) on Quest and Quest+1 at 7pm and 8pm respectively if you would like to catch it.
