L S Lowry

While discussing a school art topic with my daughter about the artist L S Lowry i was telling her about the picture that was discovered a few years back which was painted in the pleasure beach in the late 1930s.It made me look through the internet and dig out one of the original articles

The link just shows the painting is there any related articles with a bit of background info on it you have found as well?

Ah havent come accross that pic for a while! Nice to come across every now and then.

Got to wonder what these paintings would look like if the original artists painted them today with how things have changed.

The only info i have is that it was in a private collection of 2 ls lowry works before the sale.I will keep on looking for more info
