Grangemouth Pull On
« on: June 12, 2012, 06:15:02 PM »
Not a themepark but a travelling 10 day set up.The pull on started yesterday to open on Friday.Over next weekend/monday more rides will arrive for what i assume will be the usual Wednesday £1.00 night which you cant beat for the atmosphere and busy scene. This culminates in the Saturday gala day and then some move to Burntisland and some to boness which is the next town on gala and its quite sad that even this one is in doubt for next year. Its quite sad that these 2 events are the only ones left in the Falkirk callendar i can remember the days when every village had a gala, sometimes a small fair and a bit of community spirit.Anyway i will leave you with a pre pull on picture with a row of trucks parked up,picture courtesy of taylors funfairs

Got to post this video, chloes first travelling fair large ride (excluding the dodgems and carousel)by far her bravest yet. This is a spanish branded crazy frog ride which has been bought by Ricks relatives up here (im sure he will give info of where its came from

also this rather nice carousel,a first for Grangemouth, apparently its been bought by a scottish family from down south so it was good to see  an appearance of a rarer ride
