Have a look at the Lancashire County Council MARIO (Maps and Related Information On-line) system.

There is an option to see aerial photos from the 1940's, 1960's  and recent ones (new Tram deport is visible).
Looking at Starr Gate area where I live you can see in the '40s how South of the Pleasure beach is only just starting to be developed and there is not much on the Pleasure Beach South of Watson Rd. Yet by the 60's Starr Gate area is fully developed.


You cannot choose Blackpool from the drop down as it is not listed, so put in the post code FY4 1SE, which is Walpole Ave at Starr Gate

So presumably you can throw in other postcodes of Blackpool?

I'll have a look anyway  :thumbup1:
