If you are 100 percent genuine, you are very welcome to advertise your Tripe business in the advertising section..
As BVS has already mentioned I have had some bad experiences on the past with some posters..we have given up s lot of our spare time trying to make this site work..I hope you understand and welcome to Live In Blackpool

Thanks, Peter. I haven't got a business - just looking for somewhere in Blackpool to buy tripe and it seems as if Ron Reddy's is the place to try.

When I was last up in Blackpool for the Illuminations Switch-On event I bought some Candy Floss for the children.

Thankfully that was a whole lot more readily available - even at half past midnight!!

Last time I watched in horror Tripe being consumed was when my Wife had a thing for eating it during her pregnancy. It is not to everyone's taste, but it is an acquired taste..good luck with your quest

I just rang my mum up and had a strange conversation about why I wanted to know where to buy tripe ! !

She said "There used to be a shop on Topping Street called The Tripe Shop that only sold Tripe" !!

Now she says any butchers probably sells it, the problem is finding any butchers still trading in Blackpool.

She said Ron Reddys sometimes has it, but can't say they always have it.

She said the stall in Abingdon Street Market that sells pork pies might do it, but doubts the butchers in there does it.

Hey Peter - where the heck did you buy it as you sound like the resident tripe expert - well you actually know someone who has had it - that trumps most of us.

It's actually something that absorbs other flavours very well.  Most people find the texture difficult to deal with - a bit like a soft version of calamari.
It's very good for you too, apparently (and dogs LOVE green tripe).

One of my favourites is Lambs Hearts, they are absolutely beautiful, imagine the the texture of hard kidney with the most lovely lamb flavouring, you would still be nowhere near !

Chicken Livers are also pretty high on my list.

Have had cold jellyfish and chickens feet in Chinese Restaurants, so I feel that I need to try Tripe, indeed I have thought about it since seeing Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall bleach some green tripe white on River Cottage.

But.......

Not before I am back in Switzerland next week, at a restaurant that I know in Zurich, that does the most lovely steaks ever ----  Pferdesteak.

More on tripe...

My brother is a bit smarter than me, I guess.  I mentioned the Tripe Marketing Board website to him and he took a minute to look at it and said it was all a hoax designed to plug a book.  I used their 'contact' form at the weekend to ask them where to get tripe in Blackpool and I haven't had a response.  It's quite elaborate for a hoax though - seems to be plugging a comedy book about Lancashire.

Now, I wish I was off to Zurich for a steak with Eric!

Has anyone checked what Pferdesteak is ?

It's lovely, but controversial :)
