HAUNTED HOST: Author and tour guide Stephen Mercer prepares his latest spooky walks

Blackpool-based Supernatural Events is back with a Halloween SpookFest to celebrate its sixth anniversary – a ghost tour and investigation at Blackpool North Pier Theatre and two ghost walks.

North Pier Theatre will be opening its doors for a special eerie event on Friday October 26 – a late night ghost tour and investigation by the award-winning Supernatural Events.

Starting at 10pm and running until 4am, attendees will get the chance to visit areas that many believe to be haunted including the auditorium, stage, and areas not normally accessed by the public including dressing rooms and backstage; in a quest to find out what really goes on “behind the scenes.”

Are you brave enough to sit in the “haunted seat” and dare you discover who is the “Shadow Man” or the “Victorian Lady of the Pier”?

Places for the Halloween Ghost Tour and Investigation at Blackpool North Pier Theatre cost £25 and must be booked in advance.

Places are limited and can be booked online at or in person at the North Pier box office from Monday to Friday between 11am and 3pm.

On Halloween Night itself (Wednesday October 31) Supernatural Events has organised two Blackpool Ghost Walks which will take you to some of Blackpool’s most haunted locations where you will hear tales of mystery, murder and the macabre as well as spooky stories and terrifying tales.

The spooky stroll will begin on the promenade (meeting at the box office at the front of North Pier) and wind its way around some of Blackpool’s most important buildings and attractions with those in attendance learning of the town’s history, heritage and hauntings.

Tickets for the Blackpool Ghost Walk are £5 for adults or £3 for under 14s, booking details as above plus they will be available before the walk commences.

The events will be led local paranormal expert, founder of
Supernatural Events and author of Haunted Blackpool, Stephen

Supernatural Events was originally set up on Halloween 2006 for a one-off ghost tour.

It was a sell-out and more were quickly arranged taking in more locations.

In March 2009 Supernatural Events was awarded the Blackpool Tourism Business in Excellence Award for Marketing and Innovation and in 2010 was shortlisted in the Best Night Time Experience and Best Tourism Experience categories.
