Looking for info on wartime newspaper story
« on: January 23, 2013, 02:53:09 PM »
I recently found a newspaper cutting among my late Uncle's things. It looks like it's from a Blackpool newspaper (as there are several mentions of Blackpool in the stories), but the picture of a bomb crater doesn't seem likely to be Blackpool as the only bombs which dropped were in Seed Street. It doesn't seem to fit with the bomb which dropped on St Annes either - in Church Rd.

Appreciate any ideas.

I played in a huge bomb crater as a child in the 1970's it was situated near the train tracks in Carleton..
