Winter Wonderland January 2015
« on: February 23, 2015, 10:50:36 PM »
We managed to get to London in the new year and visit the famous Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park.
This was my first visit and I loved it. We went to the circus (which was amazing,) the Ice Palace and of course, had a look at some of the huge rides on offer

The view by our entrance:

Some Ice Palace pictures:

Ben on the Ice Slide. Notice the winter clothing. The temperature is kept at Minus 8!

We rode this incredibly large Wild Mouse. It was superb :thumbup1:

It has some huge drops!

Wonderful themeing!

We returned in the evening for the circus (no pictures) and some night riding!

It was very cold but busy.

We rode the giant wheel before going home. It was a freezing but fun experience.

...and it offered some great views.

Winter Wonderland was a great experience. There is loads to do there and if you go in the new year, the queues are considerably less.

There are some huge rides there including a few coasters. I can't recommend the Wild Maus XXL enough. A truly
incredible coaster

Thanks, Keno. The rides were indeed very impressive. It was good to see Blackpool's former Bling there, too  :thumbup1:

A good blast from the past...

I also love those drop tower rides, it really adds to a parks skyline.
