If you have ever eaten in this establishment and had good service I will be intrigued to hear about it..

My Daughter and her Boyfriend both 17 visited this establishment this afternoon , they were stopped by the doorman and asked for id, they explained that they didn't  require to have id as they don't drink alcohol and that all they want to do is to eat a meal..

This request was declined, they were told no they couldn't enter to have a meal..

Now the law is quite clear regarding under 18's and eating in pubs..

The law clearly states that Young Adults can actually enter a public house and order food to be consumed on the premises..

When I discussed this with the male duty manager today, he was quite hostile ( rude) he told me that it was full of Hen and Stags etc..

He then referred me to head office and put the phone down on me, how nice..

So Blackpool residents, this is how we as locals get treated when its busy in Summer with tourists..

I will allow you to make your own minds up about this place..

My take on this from my experience from talking to somebody that claims to be the manager of the pub...

Rude and unprofessional..I could say so much more but lets leave it at that..!!!  :sneaky2: :sneaky2:

An update on this story..Established and well managed restaurant WEST COAST ROCK CAFE  was more than happy to accommodate them and serve them an amazing meal..

This is one of the reasons why they won their award last night  :thumbup1: :thumbup1: :thumbup1:

Just been reading this, quite shocking to be honest and a very shabby way to treat the local Blackpool residents

This story is all over Twitter and Google as your site is affiliated as a credible News source.

I think that the Albert & Lion   has dropped a huge clanger with this one, pleased that West Coast Rock saved the day, they have always been good  :thumbup1:

They allow under 18's in any other day of the week so what makes a Saturday or Sunday any different?

Poor showing that on Wetherspoons behalf.

Its a strange one, but I suppose you have to respect the license holder.. :(
